Long Story Short Productions consists of three young reality veterans who helped invent the genre and are now creating the next generation of television.
For over a decade, Jordan Doran has been an influential figure in reality television, developing and producing high profile programs and creatively improving existing projects. During his 6 years at MTV networks, Jordan collaborated on the network’s most successful shows such as The Newlyweds and the highly acclaimed series The Osbournes, earning him Emmy honors for his work.
Since 1997, James J. Gutierrez has been producing and directing reality television. Starting out in Chicago on the Jenny Jones Show, James went on to make a name for himself as a primary force behind the Blind Date franchise, where he helped create what has become the standard format in the dating-reality genre. Throughout his career, James has directed and produced for ABC, NBC, MTV, E!, A&E and many more.
Getting his start at the Armed Forces Network in Germany, Marc Porterfield returned to the private sector to pursue a career in film and television. After working for a number of years in television commercial production, Marc became a segment producer for Michael Moore’s The Awful Truth. Now living in Los Angeles, Marc has since gone on to work on such projects as You Can Count On Me, Butcher House and Alexander (one project got nominated for 2 Academy Awards).
